Your day begins with a short transfer from Vang Vieng to the river. After a quick paddling lesson and safety briefing, set off down the Nam Song, gliding past dramatic limestone mountains and small rapids. The first stop is Tham Xang (Elephant Cave). Walk up into this massive, theater-like cave while learning about its history and significance to local communities. After the cave, enjoy a riverside picnic lunch before continuing downstream to the Organic Farm, where mulberry tea and a variety of local fruit wines are produced. The journey continues to Tham None Cave, one of the largest in the area. Used as a bomb shelter during the Second Indochina War, it is now home to bats and the legendary "Magic Stone of Vang Vieng," which your guide will explain. The final leg is a gentle paddle back to Vang Vieng town, arriving in time to admire the sunset over the river and karst peaks.
