Wild Thrill Trails – Camping & Homestay

After a 30-minute drive, meet your local guide at Ban Chaleunsouk village and begin trekking through farmland valleys and up a steep mountain, followed by a scenic ridge walk. Lunch is enjoyed along the way. Continue through dense canopy forest for about three hours to reach Wild Banana Camp, set beside a peaceful river. Enjoy time at a nearby waterfall for bathing and relaxation. In the evening, cook traditional Lao food with your guide, with an optional night walk for wildlife spotting.

Explore an unfrequented jungle trail once used by hunters. Though the terrain is more challenging, the route is shorter, allowing a relaxed hike through pristine forest with chances to spot wildlife. Cross streams and hills before arriving at a remote Khmu village. Stay overnight with a local family, experiencing authentic village life. Spend the evening interacting with locals, playing with children, or swimming in the Nam Ha River.

Depart the village after breakfast prepared by your host family, who will accompany you through the protected forest. Trek through a stunning jungle with towering 70-metre trees and abundant wildlife — birds, squirrels, monkeys, and civets. Reach the mountain peak before descending to Doi Lakkham, marking the end of this immersive jungle trekking adventure, then return to Luang Namtha.
